God promises that when we find Jesus we are a new creation. Sometimes along the way it can be hard to "feel" like we are made new, some days can leave us bruised and broken. When you are in that place, remember that each sunrise marks the beginning of a new day and each new day is another promise from God to recreate us.
"be confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Phillipians 1:6
All of us are on a journey. We have each experienced our own twists, turns, highs and lows and detours along the way. Capitol View is a place where we share with each other the story of our journey's and our unique experiences with God. We would love to hear about yours.
Hello and thank you for visiting our website! Recently we went through a design process to create a new logo for our church. Two designs were eventually produced for consideration, one with the view of the Cross and the other with a cityscape view of Lincoln. Ideas and thoughts were exchanged when one wizened member shared that he liked the cityscape view logo because it showed where God had placed our church and was a visual representation of our call to minister to the community we are a part of. I really like that and I believe it is a great summary of what we have accepted as a big part of our church’s mission.
I would like to invite you to visit us at Capitol View sometime. Here you are going to find people who welcome and accept everyone just as they are, a relaxed but enthusiastic worship experience and a very cool historic building that dates back about 100 years!
You are also going to find people who genuinely care about others and have a passion for being a consistent, positive and supportive member of the neighborhood. So join us any Saturday morning for a great experience of worship and sharing. Just know that, instead of the sanctuary, we might be in the parking lot singing for the neighbors.
